![]() In Revenue, fellows learned the ins and outs of running a media advertising business, working across Sales, Insights, Marketing and Client Success, developing social media content, writing a weekly marketing newsletter with an audience of thousands, and playing an active role in creative projects. They also traveled across the country to photograph the mayors of Oklahoma’s last all-Black towns, and became the in-house photographer for some of our most popular and long-standing series. Across Vox Media’s editorial networks, fellows published stories across beats ranging from housing policy to accessibility, including why it costs so much to build transit, how deaf people faced unique challenges during the pandemic, how elite athletes have struggled with the long-term effects of COVID, how ranked choice voting in New York City’s mayoral race could affect election night results, and how Johnson & Johnson became the most popular vaccine in town. In the program’s first year, fellows were selected from over 2,000 applicants. Fellows will work across editorial teams and lines of business including Vox, New York Magazine, Eater, The Verge, SB Nation, and Revenue. The fellowship provides extensive training and mentorship, intensive feedback from managers, sessions featuring leaders across Vox Media, and other professional development including a built-in network of Vox Media leadership and editorial talent.
